Boyang Zhang is an adjunct researcher at Peking University Institute of Digital Finance and a macro analyst at Ziff Brothers Investments. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Peking University and his PhD in economics from Cornell University. Prior to joining the financial industry, he also worked at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University. His research appeared in leading journals and edited volumes, such as the Journal of Monetary Economics and the Oxford Companion to the Economics of China. For his academic achievement, he has received the Peking University China Economic Research Scholarship and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad.
